Portcullis Computer Security – operating under Cisco – are a commercial security firm based in Watford, specialising in assisting businesses protect themselves against the growing threat of cyber-attacks. As part of our office fit out service, the firm approached GXI Group for a creative and professional new workplace design which would both inspire employees and wow external clients. Despite the company name – Portcullis – we worked with the team to design and produce a very open, relaxed and functional office space that is not only keeping in trend with modern workplace aesthetics up and down the country, but is also proudly casting aside outdated office partitions and dated standards.
We are particularly proud of our final work with Portcullis as we were able to provide a working, reliable and long-lasting office fit out design that required little in the way of expensive materials or labour. Our design experts carefully put together a hugely open and contemporary office floor than enables Portcullis agents to be able to easily converse with customers, work on projects and collaborate with others without losing focus or feeling closed-in. Portcullis were happy to lead with a minimal colour scheme, offering touches of red, purple and grey against popular monochromatic fixtures and fittings.
Desks and workspaces are simplified here, with cost-effective and minimal rows of desks set up to amplify elbow room and to allow ease of movement. Bringing in crescents of modern, stylish sofas and glass office partitions helped to break down boundaries even further – creating a professional, inspiring look which will not only impact positively upon visitors, but will also encourage Portcullis staff to work with each other openly and without feeling cramped or closed in. Certainly, this was the main approach we worked on – one which emphasised space and inclusivity – and it is always fantastic to be able to bring a modern fit out to a firm at a fraction of the cost they expect – and with the guaranteed quality and longevity they deserve.
