Functionality, aesthetics and performance come together in every workspace we take on. Better environments mean stronger output, smoother operations and a foundation that supports business growth.
Structured around your vision, our process transforms ideas into solutions that are operationally sound and strategically aligned.

Autel Europe UK Ltd is the European arm of a globally recognised automotive technology business, specialising in electric vehicle charging solutions. As the company established and expanded its UK operations, it required a purpose built workspace that could support both its office based teams and its wider warehouse and operational functions within a single, well integrated environment at its Elstree facility.
GXI Group was appointed following a competitive open tender bid process, winning the contract based on our ability to incorporate a value engineering approach into both the design and fit out stages. The scope covered a full Category B office design and fit out, including the construction of a large mezzanine floor integrated with the warehouse space below, delivering a practical dual function environment.
Our appointment reflected the client's confidence in GXI's ability to achieve the target project budget without compromising on quality or functionality. Working closely with Autel Europe UK's operations team, we developed a solution that balanced the demands of a modern office environment with the structural and spatial requirements of an active automotive manufacturing and distribution operation across 4,800 sq ft.
The most significant challenge on this project was the minimal structural information and calculations provided by the landlord in relation to the existing building. This created considerable uncertainty at the outset, particularly given the scope of the mezzanine floor construction and the structural implications that came with it across the warehouse space.
Progressing the project within an 8 week programme while managing this information gap required rapid, decisive action. Controlling costs throughout was equally critical, as the project had been awarded on the basis of achieving a defined target budget, leaving no room for scope creep, inefficiency, or unforeseen expenditure driven by gaps in the base build documentation.
GXI overcame the structural information deficit by producing a comprehensive new set of specifications, complete with all associated technical details and engineering calculations required to safely and compliantly deliver the mezzanine floor. This removed the dependency on landlord supplied documentation and kept the project moving without interruption to the wider programme timeline.
Our integrated design, structural and project delivery team applied a disciplined value engineering methodology throughout every stage of the fit out. By making considered decisions across materials and service coordination, we delivered a fully functional workspace and mezzanine structure that met the client's operational requirements within the agreed project budget.

The completed workspace at Autel Europe UK brings together two distinct but connected environments: a professionally designed office above and an operational warehouse below, unified through the construction of a structurally sound mezzanine floor.
Thoughtful space planning across both levels maintains that teams can move between functions fluidly, with each area designed to support its specific purpose. The mezzanine creates additional usable floor area that maximises the building's capacity.
Large scale structure built within a warehouse for dual level use.
Budget conscious design without compromising quality or output.
New specifications produced in full to replace absent landlord data.
GXI was selected through an open competitive bid for full design and fit out.
Modern, fully functional workspace delivered across 4,800 sq ft.
Office and operational areas unified within a single cohesive environment.
The completed project at Autel Europe UK Ltd delivers a purpose built, dual function environment that supports the full scope of the company's UK operations. The mezzanine floor maximises the footprint, creating clearly separated yet operationally connected spaces for office based teams and warehouses, enabling the business to run its UK operations from a single, well structured facility.
The project also validates the commercial value of GXI's value engineering approach. By winning a competitive tender on the basis of budget efficiency and quality retention and then delivering precisely against both commitments, GXI demonstrated that high specification fit out outcomes and disciplined cost management are not mutually exclusive even on technically complex projects.
The workspace is designed to scale with Autel Europe UK's growth ambitions. The mezzanine structure, office layout and warehouse integration have all been planned with flexibility in mind, supporting the facility to adapt to evolving operational needs, expanding headcount and the increasing demands of a rapidly growing EV technology business in the UK market.
Delivered through a competitive tender, built to a defined budget and completed within an 8 week programme, this project demonstrates what design and fit out delivery looks like at its best. Every decision was made to serve Autel Europe UK's long term operational and commercial performance.
Delivering complex, budget conscious fit out projects through technical expertise, value engineering and an unwavering commitment to quality outcomes.
"From tender to handover, GXI delivered exactly what they promised. Their value engineering approach gave us full confidence in hitting our budget without sacrificing quality. The mezzanine and office fit out were both completed to a high standard, right on schedule. What impressed us most was how GXI handled the structural information gap. They took complete ownership, developed the specifications independently and kept the project moving without delays. That level of proactive problem solving made them the ideal fit out partner."
