For a smaller firm such as Bell Masion, it was important that we apply our knowledge and appreciation of the importance of space – and how best to enhance the feeling of expansiveness in even the most restricted of spaces.
For Bell Masion’s office design we needed to focus on making the most of a relatively small area – creating spacious, comprehensive office interiors London clients can visit and feel completely at home in. We worked with the firm to produce a design that emphasised freedom of movement while retaining all the functionality needed by the in-house team – meaning that it was important to break down unnecessary walls, and to really monopolise existing space to encourage collaboration and ease of communication.
We led with a two-room design – one, a simple meeting room with desk and presentation facilities – and the other, a workspace. The meeting room on the floor plan barely eats into the workspace, allowing Bell Masion’s team to work unimpeded and via individual desks – with all the functionality and storage they need. From early on in the process we established with the firm that the important factor here was to avoid stuffing the office floor with unnecessary items or fixtures – and to focus more on bringing employees out into the open, with opportunity and availability for relaxation as well as for unimpeded productivity. As other office fit out companies London and beyond will agree, avoiding partitions and divisions is the way to go – and we supplied minimal desk walls to separate work spaces at an absolute maximum.
We feel the new, spacious workspace we helped to create for Bell Masion will enhance the morale and productivity of the team no end – and we are happy to say that the firm is immensely pleased with the project’s end result.
